OPEN PLAY

Basic Guidelines:

  • It is $15 per adult to play for up to 2 hours. We do not have a rate that goes by the hour, nor do we lessen the rate depending on how long you plan to stay. We will come up to you with a 10 minute warning, encouraging you to wrap up your game OR extend your time!

  • We have a $25 day pass! No need to worry about rushing or not finishing your game. Relax and have an amazing time with the 1,100 choices we have in our space. If you are looking for a specific game, feel free to call us.

  • We only take reservations for 8 or more people and must be a payment in advance. Reservations should be made minimum 24 hours ahead of time. If you have less than 8 people, we most likely have room, so you can just walk in! If you want to feel extra secure, feel free to give us a call and see if there’s a waitlist.

  • Although we have snacks & beverages, we allow outside food & drinks to make sure your stay with us is as comfortable as possible! If you plan on bringing a lot, please take your garbage with you. - Any pour over drinks, such as wine, whiskey, is a $20 fee.

  • The front part of the shop has our games for sale, and the second half will have the game for play. Since the open play games is a personal collection, there’s a 50/50 chance we have it for sale on the sale side.

  • We have plenty of 2 player friendly games! In fact, we have a whole section dedicated to 2 player games. We are the perfect date spot.

Plus One & Only

Plus One & Only is our most-loved date night package, made for you and your favorite human. There's something magical about date night at Last Place—the ambient lighting, hundreds of games to explore, and a vibe so warm it practically hugs you. From first dates to long-term love, this $50 package sets the tone for a night you’ll both remember.

You’ll get two open play passes (good for a full two-hour reservation), a reserved table just for you, and a curated list of games tailored to your vibe—romantic, silly, strategic, competitive, cooperative, or something delightfully in between. We’ll set the scene with a tabletop lamp, your choice of a craft soda + tea pairing or a flavored seltzer, and a sweet or savory snack.

But here’s the magic touch: every Plus One & Only now comes with a mystery sticker surprise—a little memory to take home with you. You’re welcome to bring in outside food or slip across the street for a drink and come back for more play.

Once you email, we’ll send you a short form to personalize the night to your exact vibe. Last Place isn’t just a board game shop—it’s your cozy corner of the world. A home away from home where phones go down, laughter bubbles up, and the best moments unfold one card at a time. Reservations must be made 24hours in advance. “plus one & only” Reservation

Second location!

Last Place On Earth opened a second location called 3rd Place from the Sun. We opened September 15th, 2025 in Dumbo, Brooklyn. Our goal with this space is to expand the sense of community deeper into Brooklyn and hope it causes a positive ripple effect where we’re able to explore other boroughs! 3rd Place is what we call a “sister location” where it’s basically identical to the first location with a fun additional twist; this space has a private D&D room! With a beautiful Wyrmwood table; in fact the very first game shop in New York City to have one! We partnered with PocketBard to create ambiance, music and sound effects during game play and a bringing you back to midlevel times with the aesthetic. If you’re closer to south Brooklyn, please visit 3rd Place. This was literally made for you! Our current discord will display both locations so you don’t have to join two different channels.
